Hello Gale, Update

Sorry to be an excessive blog poster but I want to make sure we remember this.  Every experience is just so different, and I will admit that I sorta knew that but never really "internalized" it (as they like to say in business meetings).

We seem to be getting into the thick of it now with sustained winds in the 25-30 knot range and don't even get me started on the gusts.  I was looking at the autopilot remote to try to catch a gust in the upper 30s for effect and I caught this instead!  Good Lord!
45.1 knot gust - hold on to your hats!
Also the tide is back in--such a huge difference from this morning! Gee only about 18 more hours of this and things will be positively boring at 20 knots.  I'm very fine with that, or less would be awesome.

But never fear, friends and family...we are holding strong still and the AV portion of our day has commenced.  The fellas are watching "Captain Phillips" even though I acted it out in 30 seconds using apples, apple slices and an avocado.  I'm very surprised they still felt then need to watch the actual movie ;-)

Good anchor, love you anchor!  Fortress Anchors, The World's Best Anchor...hell yeah it is!

PS, I would also like to report that I did not get to enjoy any biscuits as all were eaten by two other people, but I will not mention any names.  I hear they were good... not that I would know... having not gotten to eat one...as I may have mentioned.  Note to self, make biscuits in secret, hoard biscuits.

As if it wasn't obvious who wrote this, XO Suzanne

1830 PS:  winds have calmed to about 15 knots and the creek is seemingly still compared to all day...so our first gale has passed and we don't need to repeat it. Jon treated us to a delicious dinner and even did clean up. Mark is looking at the charts to plan tomorrow. We need to give the ocean time to recover from the last two days of weather related tantrums so that means meandering down the ICW.  Before returning to my chick flick (and lazing in bed more), I snapped a couple shots--you know by now that I am a sunset picture taking junkie.

Good night all.
