Stray Cat-Day 1

As we cut west to enter Ingram Bay then Cockrell Creek to Reedville VA, Mark and Jon pulled out the genoa so we could motor sail for a while before anchoring.

Had to pull it in when we came up on some oyster or fishing nets a little faster than we would have liked.

Today we left Solomons at about 0845 and are now happily anchored near Reedville after about 43 nautical miles. We will be staying here tonight and I know a Captain who deserves a beer and a nice dinner. And of course we toasted with Czech Single Malt Whisky.

Local point of interest are the menhaden boats and the old smokestack.

  2. Greetings from the crew of the Lothlorien Glad to get your blog link. We owe you ours - coming soon. We're actually in the Czeck Rep. (Prague) at this very minute and they're looking for that bottle of missing whiskey! Writing a blog gets easier with time. Looking forward to reading your upcoming adventure. First one back buys the beer. Is our slip still empty?
