Mark will tell you it's been a crazy busy day. I on the other hand have been enjoying the glorious weather--sunny, no humidity, light breeze--by taking a final jog around our marina (3.2 miles thank you very much). Jon is en route, we filled the water tanks, I made a fattening lunch snack of donuts and peanut butter and jelly on flat bread, Mark installed the new compass, Mark did some quality checks of the tanks, and he also did a ton of other tasks that prove how lazy I really am. In my own defense, I have been trying to figure out this blog thing and the Facebook page but I better get my butt in gear and do some real boat work lest I be told to walk the plank.
In other news, there are at least seven (more coming in) Canadian sailboats anchored across the creek (and it's only 1530) which means we'll be seeing a whole lot of them heading south. That should be very interesting considering the number of anchorages and the often tight quarters on the ICW. I promise to be nice and friendly--ahem, let's call that a stretch goal. JK, I'm growing as a person...seriously I am...really.
Mark and Jon are both page editors for the blog and the Facebook page so I think that will make for some great variety of posts beyond my own musings/ravings. I suppose we should sign our posts--not that anyone could possibly mistake my posts for theirs...hint, mine will be the girly flaky silly immature ego-centric ones! Maybe now and then I'll come up with something deep and thoughtful. Maybe best not to hold your breath. XO Suzanne
