The wind that was supposed to pick up didn't bother us at all last night… At least I know Mark and I slept like absolute rocks. We had a lazy morning and then went into Black Point Settlement. I should say there was some drama outside the anchorage first with a mega yacht that dumped it's black water tank on the outskirts of the Big Major's Spot Anchorage as they left. I guess they didn't really care about boats anchored there or the pigs on the beach. Then the Bahamas Defense Force made an appearance in our anchorage -- from what I could tell they only boarded maybe five or six boats but we weren't one of them :-)
Mark and I were able to get a short jog (1.5 miles) while Jon took care of some data business. We picked up three more loaves of bread, got back to the boat, pulled anchor and headed out back on the rodeo ride seas. Oh and of the six loaves we bought, we have eaten almost two of them!
Jon motor sailed us to Isaacs Bay where we set anchor and got ourselves into the water. Jon and I swam to the beach because that's how we roll--and it wasn't that far but mostly because of how we roll. We snorkeled two spots and I got some good pictures from the second head we found.
Oh boy we're pretty tuckered out; and I'm not looking forward to getting up for the 0630 weather report, but there's another blow coming so we need to be prepared. Time to ponder all these things over a run drink. XO Suzanne
PS Happy birthday to my angel, my mom , who may be in heaven now but lives forever in my heart. My rum drink is dedicated to you tonight.
